There is something very interesting about shadows; there can be no shadows except there is light. If everywhere is totally dark, there will be no shadows.

As the Sun, He drives away every darkness from your life and gives you victory and wholeness, and as the Shield, He protects you from all evil and preserves your soul. David experienced God as his sun and shield when he was running from Saul. No wonder he said in that God will help and deliver His people from the wicked because they trust in Him. Only those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High can abide under the shadow of the Almighty and boast of this kind of deliverance ().
The secret place of the Most High is a place for intimate conversations with Him; it is a place where you can build intimacy with Him. Also, in His secret place, He reveals mysteries to overcome the enemy. Elisha knew the secret conversations of the king of Syria because he had an intimate relationship with God (). If you want to abide under Christ’s shadow, then you have to dwell in His secret place.
Beloved, are you dwelling in the secret place of the Most High? Only those who live a holy life and prioritise spending quality time with God can dwell there. Sinners cannot dwell in the secret place; therefore, if you’re not yet born again or you’re still toying with sin, repent now and come under the shadow of the Almighty.
