One of the things that happened in was that God changed confusion to clarity. The Bible says that the earth was without form; however, after the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters, beauty and order came out of the formless earth.
Before God appeared in , the earth was dark and empty. Emptiness is not a good thing. If a student is said to be ‘empty-headed’, for example, it implies that no matter how hard the student studies, he or she won’t be successful academically. After the Spirit of God intervened in , however, emptiness gave way to fullness. You will discover that God called everything that followed immediately after that intervention ‘good’.
When the supernatural collides with the natural, the natural must give way. For example, in , the Lion of the tribe of Judah easily overcame the physical lion that roared at Samson because the Spirit of God was upon him. Believe me, you cannot achieve anything meaningful this year with your natural abilities alone (). However, if you yield to the Holy Spirit, you will have outstanding success in all areas of your life.
When you yield to the Spirit of God, He overshadows you. This means that He will be in control of your words, thoughts, and actions. When this happens, you will experience a supernatural change in your life, and you will come into a realm of endless possibilities.
Beloved, yield completely to the leading of the Holy Spirit this year. Spend quality time praying in the Holy Spirit daily and rely on His leading in all you do (). If, however, you have not surrendered your life to Christ, you must do so before you can receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Confess your sins, promise God you will not return to them, and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. After you’ve done this, ask God to baptise you in the Holy Spirit and seek a genuine minister of God to pray with you so you can receive His baptism with the evidence of speaking in tongues. You must also fast regularly if you want to subject your flesh to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Lastly, you must study the Bible diligently every day and obey all of God’s instructions. If you do all these, the Spirit of God will move mightily in your life, and everything that has been termed impossible will become possible.
