Message

Whenever God wants to perform signs and wonders on earth, He looks for vessels He can use. He usually seeks people who will make themselves available to Him so that His purpose on earth can be fulfilled. One of the things that God loves to do is to heal those who are sick, and He often likes to do this through the hands of those who are fully surrendered to Him. If you are a child of God, God needs your hands to heal the sick. says that you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Of course, God can decide to heal a person directly without using any human medium, but more often than not, he chooses to use His children’s hands.

And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

In the Scripture above, God was the One who performed special miracles, but He needed Paul’s hands to accomplish them. If you surrender your hands to God, He will perform special miracles through you as well. However, for God to use your hands, they must be clean. Today’s Bible reading tells us what it means to have clean hands. When your hands are clean, you will not lift up your soul to vanity or swear deceitfully. People who lift up their souls to vanity live only for worldly pleasures. Such individuals can do anything to achieve their goals, and says that anyone who makes haste to be rich shall not be innocent. Also, those who swear deceitfully are not trustworthy, and God will not use the hands of such individuals to do His work.

Beloved, if you want God to use your hands, then you must be ready to live by His standards. Our memory verse today says that he who has clean hands shall be stronger and stronger. When your hands are clean, you will become a mighty vessel in the hands of God. You must also have a pure heart () and be willing to do whatever He tells you, whether it sounds logical or not ().

says, Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” God needs your hands, but He will only use them if they are clean and pure.

Key Point:

If you want to be a useful vessel in God’s hands, you must have clean hands.

Hymn

Title: I AM THINE, O LORD.

1. I am Thine, O Lord

I have heard Thy voice

And it told Thy love to me

But I long to rise in the arms of faith

And be closer drawn to Thee

Chorus:

Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord

To the cross where Thou hast died;

Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord

To Thy precious, bleeding side.

2. Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord

By the pow’r of grace divine

Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope

And my will be lost in Thine.

3. Oh, the pure delight of a single hour

That before Thy throne I spend

When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee,

my God I commune as friend with friend

4. There are depths of love that I cannot know

Till I cross the narrow sea

There are heights of joy that I may not reach

Till I rest in peace with Thee.
