Message

Some pastors concoct strange and ungodly doctrines, calling them ‘new revelations’ just to excite their congregation. Like the Berean Christians (), you must always return to the Scriptures to conduct a deep study about what the word of God says before you believe any ‘new revelation’ a minister shares. One of such strange revelations is the message of unlimited grace. It might seem new to some people, but it has actually existed since biblical times. Some Bible scholars have traced its origin to Nicolas, one of the first deacons chosen to serve in . Jesus specifically told the Pergamos church that they were to stop following the Nicolaitian doctrine immediately (). It is a message that the devil brings up over and over again to dissuade Christians, but just like every false doctrine, it does not stand the test of time. Therefore, the devil brings it back up again whenever it fades away. The unfortunate thing is that many people would die in their sins due to the false message before they realise the truth.

The preachers of the unlimited grace message insist that once a person is saved, he or she is forever saved. They claim that such a fellow can sin as much as he or she wants because the grace of God already covers the fellow. This is, however, untrue. says that God forbid that we continue in sin that grace may abound. Furthermore, the Bible says in that if a person is in Christ, he or she is a new creature; old things have passed away, and all things have become new. Therefore, when someone says that once a person is born again, the person can continue doing the things his or her old nature was doing, and grace will cover it, you should know that it is incorrect.

Beloved, the One who saved you is a holy God (). How can a holy God save you to give you permission to sin as you like? How will you judge the world, as says, if you are behaving in the same way they are? What is the difference between you and the people in the world if you do the same things they do? Do not be deceived; God’s standard is clear. If you call on the name of Christ, then you must depart from iniquity ().

Key Point:

God’s grace is not a license to sin; it is an empowerment to live a holy life because God is holy.
