Sometimes, you might hear people say that the miracles they prayed to God for have not come, and it is now too late. However, God is never late; He is always on time. calls Him the ever-present help in times of trouble. The Bible also makes it abundantly clear that He has set a time for everything (); thus, you should be confident that He has set the best time for you to receive any miracle you are hoping for. If you decide to move away from Him because you think He is late, you will miss the miracles you have been waiting for.
In , the Bible tells us that God will not give the children’s bread to dogs; thus, dogs will never receive miracles from God. One of the descriptions of backsliders in the Bible is that they are like dogs (), and as a result, they will always miss out on miracles. I can tell you numerous stories of people who felt that God was too slow in answering their prayers and decided to seek other means. Such people received ‘miracles’ from the devil, but they later discovered that they were mirages. People who turn away from the Lord to seek solutions elsewhere always end up paying dearly for it if they do not repent and return to God. Satan never gives anything good; whatever he gives that seems good at first always brings sadness and pain.
I recall a time when someone was performing magic and calling the results miracles. A friend and I tried to warn many people to be cautious about him, but only those who had ears to hear listened. Beloved, do not be found chasing after signs and wonders because you are very likely to miss true miracles from God when you are running from pillar to post. Only rooted plants will be watered abundantly and bear fruit. Plants that keep getting transplanted every other day will eventually wither and die.
Beloved, you need to stay in the vineyard of the Lord where He can water you so you can flourish, as today’s memory verse reveals. God has not forgotten you; says that the vision is for an appointed time, and though it tarries, you should wait for it because it will surely come. Stay in God’s house because there is abundant fatness in His house for everyone who abides therein ().
