As I mentioned yesterday, holy things are not for dogs (), so God’s anointing is only for those who wait on Him. Today’s memory verse tells us clearly to beware of dogs, and as I explained a few days ago, the Bible likens backsliders to dogs (). What this means, in essence, is that you need to beware of backsliders. Do not be unequally yoked together with sinners () because they might lead you astray.
Mathematicians understand that a set of numbers refers to numbers that act in the same manner. For example, every figure that can be divided by two is put in a set of even numbers. People who are in the set of dogs usually act like dogs, and it is only wise to be wary of such people when you see them. clearly lists different categories of people who are in the set of dogs:
For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Sorcerers, whoremongers, murderers, idolaters, and liars are not people you should associate with because their place is outside God’s Kingdom. If you do not want to join them outside the Kingdom of God, where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth, then you must never emulate them or approve of their ways. We live in an increasingly carefree generation in which people do not think that getting involved in magic or witchcraft is a big deal. In fact, some people now believe that witches and wizards are ‘cool’ to the extent that some children now aspire to become witches and wizards in the future. It has become quite terrible as numerous children’s shows now promote magic and various dark arts. Child of God, do not be deceived; just because something is popular or seems ‘cool’ to many does not make it right. God will not lower His standards for anyone; He will not revoke His righteous standards because many people do not like them. He is the Almighty God who has commanded you to be holy for He is holy ().
Beloved, reject and condemn all of satan’s ideologies because those who dabble in the things that pertain to him will inherit his portion. Satan’s portion is outside God’s Kingdom – it is everlasting torment (). I pray that you will not entertain the things of the devil, in Jesus’ name.
