2026 is almost over, and there were many things you probably planned to achieve when the year started. If you achieved some or all of those things, that is wonderful. If you did not accomplish some of your goals, do not lose hope; keep the vision alive.
Some people accomplish great feats in one year and relax their efforts in the following year. You must not be like them. The things God has given you this year should not make you relax; instead, they should keep you going even stronger next year. Years ago, when we had just built an auditorium in Redemption Camp (now Redemption City), which was about 1km long, it seemed like a tremendous feat. That year, I thanked God for the auditorium, saying, “Father, this is a lifetime achievement!” However, God stopped me immediately, saying, “That is only the children’s auditorium.” To the glory of God, it indeed has become the children’s auditorium, and we have built two additional auditoria that are bigger than that auditorium, one of which measures 3km by 3km. During special services, all three auditoria are filled with worshippers.
Beloved, never relax when God helps you to achieve your goals; instead, set even bigger ones. If, for any reason, you were not able to achieve your goals for this year, do not give up; keep the vision alive because it is for an appointed time. Also, be grateful to God for all He has done for you already, so that He can do even more.
Years ago, while preparing for a crusade, I asked God for a great outpouring of His presence. Suddenly, He told me to keep quiet and said, “You keep asking Me to do things; am I your servant? Have you thanked Me for everything I have done in the past?” Immediately, I apologised for being ungrateful and said, “Daddy, thank You for all You’ve done, but please do more.” Again, He instructed me to stop talking and said, “I don’t want to hear anything from you other than thanksgiving for the next three days.” It was difficult, but I obeyed Him. Then, on the fourth day, He gave me instructions on how to strengthen the foundations of the church because He was about to multiply us. To His glory, the RCCG has indeed enjoyed tremendous multiplication.
Beloved, you must be grateful for all God has done for you this year; however, you must also trust Him to do much greater things for you in the coming year.
