When a fellow is about to be blessed by God, especially financially, it is important for that fellow to stay away from fake friends. These are people with impure intentions; they are usually consumed with jealousy and hatred. Such people can delay or hinder the manifestation of God’s blessings in a fellow’s life.
In , the moment Jesus said that Jairus’ daughter was not dead, the people who were wailing and sympathising with Jairus began to laugh him to scorn. The fact that they were quick to switch from weeping to laughter suggests that they were merely shedding crocodile tears. However, Jesus sent them all out and brought the dead girl back to life.
Beloved, some blessings are for your ears alone. There are certain blessings or information that God does not want you to share with anyone. Also, there are some people you have to stay away from if you want God’s doors of blessings to be opened unto you. In , God told Abraham that He would bless him so mightily that through his seed, the whole world would be blessed. For that blessing to be manifested, he had to leave his kindred. However, when Abraham was leaving his country, he took Lot, his nephew, with him, and the heavens were shut against him. Instead of walking into a blessing, Abraham walked into a famine. Abraham also didn't hear from God about His promises again, until Lot departed from him (). I decree that anyone who might be hindering the manifestation of God’s promises concerning your life will be moved far away from you, in Jesus’ name.
In , a widow who was about to lose her two sons to a creditor cried unto Elisha for help. The prophet asked her to tell him what she had in her house, and she responded, “A pot of oil.” Thereafter, Elisha instructed her to borrow many empty vessels, shut the door on herself and her children, and begin to pour out the oil she had into the borrowed vessels. That widow’s experience teaches us that certain miracles are not meant to be revealed, even to one’s neighbours. There are some miracles that God will give you that will leave your neighbours and everyone around you guessing and wondering how they happened. I decree that today, the Lord will separate you from enemies who are disguised as friends and neighbours, in Jesus’ name.
