There are different categories of people: the destitute, the poor, the comfortable, the rich, the wealthy, the prosperous, and the flourishing. While the poor and destitute have little to nothing, the comfortable and rich have sufficient means. Wealthy people, however, can keep a lot of money in fixed deposit accounts, for instance, because they have more than enough. Still, being wealthy is less when compared to being prosperous.
A prosperous person is someone who can achieve major things effortlessly. I’ll share an example: a man once went on a morning walk and saw a factory that looked dirty. He enquired and was told that the factory was one of the branches where Rolls-Royce, the brand of car that he usually drove, was made. He went into the factory and asked to see the owner; then, he offered to buy the factory. The owner accepted his offer because it was many times more than the value of the factory, and the man returned home as the new owner of the factory. He went on a casual walk and returned home as a factory owner.
In comparison, a flourishing person is on a higher level entirely. There’s the story of a woman who travelled to London for three days to shop because she was bored. She bought so many things that when it was time to transport them home, she purchased a brand-new Boeing 747 aircraft, removed all the seats, and used it to carry her purchases. On returning home, she put everything in a large store and didn’t use any of them for three years. That woman could be described as someone who was flourishing materially.
Beloved, God wants you to flourish in all aspects of your life. years old, and naturally, I am not supposed to have the kind of physical strength that I do. I am flourishing physically, and if you abide in God like I do, you will also flourish physically, even in old age. When you flourish materially, you will have more than enough to care for yourself and your family; you will be so blessed that you will become a massive blessing to others as well. When you flourish in your health, you will enjoy supernatural health and a life that is free from sickness. To flourish in all aspects of your life, however, you must first flourish spiritually, as stated in today’s memory verse. You must abide in God and give Him total control over your life.
