The word of God carries power. says, “Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?” says that the word of God is “quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” It is even sharper than the scalpel of surgeons. The best surgeons will tell you that they are usually nervous when performing a procedure near a nerve because any slight mistake can cause tremendous damage to the patient. Yet, the word of God can accomplish the task very easily. I pray that if you are facing any situation which surpasses what doctors can handle, the Almighty God will send His word to you and heal you completely, in Jesus’ name.
In , when Jesus was going to raise Lazarus from the dead, he did not lay hands on him. While Lazarus was still lying dead in the tomb, Jesus said, “Lazarus, come forth.” That powerful word brought a new beginning for someone who had been dead for four days. I pray for you today that if you have been spiritually dead, you will hear the powerful word of God and experience a spiritual revival, in Jesus’ name.
In , Jesus Christ rebuked the wind with His word. He said, “Peace, be still,” and immediately, the wind ceased, to the amazement of the people who were with Him. That is how powerful the word is! The word of God is so powerful that it can start and complete something at once. For example, when God told Abraham and Sarah that they would have a son within a year (), it happened exactly as He had said. In fact, the first time God told Abraham about his descendants in , He had concluded His plans for the Israelites’ existence.
Beloved, the word of God carries power, and when the Almighty God makes a promise, it will surely come to pass. says, “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” I pray that every promise that the Almighty God has made to you in His word will come to pass in your life, in Jesus’ name.
